HISTORY |
Fish
Hoek Station was initially 100m south of the |
present site and was a
wooden structure in 1890. |
The
station moved to its present site in 1919 and |
boasted
three platforms, a water tower and a |
turntable. The gabled building was opened in 1927. |
The
station is 9 feet above sea level (although both |
subways are below sea
level). |
Unlike
fire
places exist – both have been removed and, |
the Station Master did
not live on site. |
